Connect Greenhouse to screen applicants in Nova and review their scores and assessments in Greenhouse.

How Nova works in Greenhouse

Before you start

You’ll need:

• A Nova account. Contact Nova support if you need one.
• A Greenhouse Recruiting account with Site Admin access to connect the integration.

Connect Greenhouse

Choose the author of Nova’s notes

Nova credits notes to the connected account by default. If you authorize using a service account, that account is the default author. Company owners and admins can choose another author without changing integration access:

1. Open Settings, ATS Integration, Greenhouse note author.
2. Open the author picker and search by name, or choose Connected account (default) to reset. The author does not need Site Admin access.
3. Select Save note author and check the next Nova note in Greenhouse.

This applies to new scoring, fraud and sourced-candidate notes. Existing notes keep their authors. If the author becomes unavailable, Nova can’t post notes and scores may remain pending. Choose another author or reset to the connected account. If you reconnect Greenhouse, choose your note author again.

What Nova creates on connection

Nova creates these application fields if they don’t already exist:

• Nova Score: the application’s score, from 1 to 10.
• Nova Tags: optional job-specific score labels.

You can see them in Greenhouse under Configure, Custom Options, Custom Fields, Application. No manual setup is required.

What Nova writes to Greenhouse

Nova writes only what is listed here. Nova does not edit the rest of a candidate or application record. Nova does not delete candidates, applications, jobs, or any field it did not create. Nova can remove its own applied tags from a candidate, but cannot delete tags from your Greenhouse account.

Screen inbound applicants

Enable screening on a job in Nova. New applicants receive a score and assessment in Greenhouse automatically; rejected candidates are skipped. Open a candidate in Greenhouse to see Nova Score and the assessment in their notes.

Filter candidates in Greenhouse by score

Use Nova Score to filter from the Greenhouse Candidates page. Nova Score can match a score from any job the candidate applied to. For a specific job, enable Job-specific score labels and filter by its Nova Tags label, such as REQ-123 - 8/10. Company admins can enable this under Settings, ATS Integration, Job-specific score labels in Nova. Rescoring adds a new label alongside the old one. You can clear Nova’s labels from Nova.

Other things Nova can do with your Greenhouse data

You can also:

• Search existing Greenhouse candidates for an open role.
• Add a candidate sourced in Nova to a Greenhouse job you choose.

Contact Nova support to enable these features.

If the connection stops working

Open Settings, ATS Integration in Nova and follow the reconnect prompt. If the problem continues, contact Nova support.

Nova only manages webhook subscriptions it created.
