After you’ve triaged a pipeline in Nova, you can add those candidates to one of your LinkedIn Recruiter projects without copying names. Nova connects to your Recruiter seat through a browser extension. The first export includes a one-time setup in that browser. Later exports take 3 clicks.

Before you start

  • Sign in to your own LinkedIn Recruiter seat in the same browser as Nova.
  • Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on desktop.
  • Create the target project in LinkedIn Recruiter before you export. Nova adds candidates to existing projects but doesn’t create them.
  • Split lists longer than 50 candidates into several exports to the same project.

Export candidates

1

Select the candidates you want to export

Open the job’s pipeline and go to the tab you’ve been working in: Inbox, Shortlisted, Maybe, or Archived. Select the candidates you want, or use the checkbox above the list to select the whole tab.An action bar appears at the bottom of the screen and shows how many candidates you’ve selected.
2

Click Add to LinkedIn

Click Add to LinkedIn in the action bar.If you’ve connected LinkedIn Recruiter in this browser before, the project picker opens. Continue to Pick the LinkedIn Recruiter project below.
The next 3 steps apply only to your first export in a browser.
3

Install the Nova browser extension

The Connect LinkedIn Recruiter window explains that Nova connects through a browser extension. Click Install extension. The extension listing opens in a new tab.Add the extension, then return to the Nova tab. Keep that tab open while Nova completes the connection.
4

Connect your Recruiter account

Back in Nova, click Connect LinkedIn Recruiter in the same window.
5

Approve the browser permission

The extension opens a popup in the top-right corner of your browser and asks for permission to read your LinkedIn session. Click Connect LinkedIn Recruiter in the popup to confirm. Nova uses this access only to connect to LinkedIn.If nothing happens, check the top-right corner for the popup. Nova displays Connecting to LinkedIn Recruiter while it completes the setup, which usually takes a few seconds.
6

Pick the LinkedIn Recruiter project

The Add to LinkedIn Recruiter project window lists 25 of your Recruiter projects at a time, with each project ID below its name. Scroll through the list or enter a project name in Search projects. Use search when you have more projects than the list displays. The window confirms how many candidates you’re about to add and repeats the 50-candidate export limit.
7

Confirm the project and add candidates

Click a project to select it. Nova marks the project as Selected, displays its name next to Adding to…, and changes the button to show the number of candidates, for example Add 9 candidates.Check the project name, then click the button to add the candidates.
8

Check the summary

Nova reports the result in 2 groups:
  • Added: candidates newly saved to the project
  • Already in this project: candidates who were already there
Nova doesn’t create duplicates, so the 2 totals add up to the number you selected. Click Close. The candidates are now in the Recruiter project, ready for your Recruiter workflow.

If something doesn’t work

Check that the Nova extension is installed and enabled in your browser. Reload Nova, then try again.
Make sure you’re signed in to LinkedIn in the same browser profile. Check that you approved the extension’s permission popup in the top-right corner.
Nova displays 25 projects at a time, so search for the project by name. If it still doesn’t appear, confirm that the project exists on your Recruiter seat. Nova can only display projects you can access.
The candidates were exported before, or a colleague added them to the project. Nova didn’t create duplicates, and you don’t need to take any action.
Select up to 50 candidates and export them. Repeat with the next batch and choose the same project.
Remove the candidates from the project in LinkedIn Recruiter, then export them again to the correct project. Nova can’t undo an export.
