Billing Overview

Understanding Nova's billing, usage limits, and account status.

Billing Overview

Nova offers flexible billing options to meet the needs of different customer segments, from self-serve startups to enterprise clients. This guide explains our pricing, how usage is tracked, and what to do if your account access is restricted.

Localized Pricing

Pricing is based on your company's location, with rates of $30 USD, €30 EUR, or £30 GBP per job. Your currency is set when you create your account.

Billing Models

Standard Billing (Credit Card)

Most customers use our standard billing model:

  • Freemium: Get a set number of free jobs each month. See below for details.
  • Pay-as-you-go: After your free jobs are used, you're charged a flat rate per job in your local currency.
  • Payment method required for usage beyond the free allowance.
  • Automatic charging via saved payment methods.
  • Real-time usage tracking and spend controls.

Invoice Billing

For some customers who prefer traditional invoicing:

  • NET-30 payment terms via invoice.
  • No payment method required upfront to use the service.
  • Continue using Nova beyond standard freemium limits.
  • Automatic account suspension if invoices become past due.

Invoice billing is available by request for qualified customers. Contact your account manager at nova@dweet.com or reach out to our sales team for more information.

Free Job Allocation

Our freemium model is designed to be generous and simple.

  • New companies: Get 3 free jobs during your first billing period.
  • Existing companies: Get 1 free job every billing period.
  • Billing periods align with your subscription start date, not calendar months, ensuring you always get a full month of usage.

Understanding Account Restrictions

To ensure fair use and timely payments, your ability to enable Nova on new jobs may sometimes be restricted. There are three main types of restrictions.

Payment Method Required

This is a soft-limit, not a hard block.

This is the most common restriction and simply means you've used your monthly free jobs and need to add a payment method to continue.

  • Why it happens: You've used all your free jobs for the current billing period (3 for new companies, 1 for existing).
  • How to resolve:
    1. Go to your Billing Settings.
    2. Add a valid credit card.
    3. Once added, you can immediately enable Nova on more jobs.

Account Paused: Spend Cap Reached

Your account is temporarily paused to prevent overspending.

This is a hard-block triggered by your own safety settings.

  • Why it happens: Your usage for the current month has reached the monthly spend cap you configured in your billing settings. This feature is designed to protect you from unexpected high bills.
  • How to resolve:
    1. Go to your Billing Settings.
    2. Click "Manage Spend Controls".
    3. Increase your monthly cap to a new limit that suits your hiring needs.
    4. Once saved, your account will be un-paused immediately.

Account Suspended: Invoice Overdue

Your account is suspended due to non-payment.

This is a hard-block due to a failed payment for customers on invoice billing.

  • Why it happens: An invoice for a previous billing period is now past its due date (typically NET-30).
  • How to resolve:
    1. Locate the overdue invoice email from Stripe. Check your spam folder if you can't find it.
    2. Follow the payment instructions in the email to pay the outstanding balance.
    3. Once the payment is successfully processed by Stripe, your account will be automatically unsuspended. This can sometimes take a few minutes.

Spend Controls

You are in full control of your spending. Prevent unexpected charges with:

  • Monthly Spend Caps: Set a hard limit on your monthly bill. When reached, we'll automatically pause your ability to enable new jobs, preventing further charges.
  • Usage Alerts: Receive email notifications when your spending reaches 50%, 80%, or 95% of your cap.
  • Real-time Monitoring: Your billing dashboard always shows your up-to-the-minute usage and estimated charges.

Payment Methods

  • Credit Cards: Securely add multiple cards and set a default. We support all major brands via Stripe.
  • Invoice Billing (Enterprise): Pay via bank transfer, ACH, or check with NET-30 terms.
